Graduate Support & Placement
The Catholic Schools Office (CSO) recognises the importance of attracting and adequately supporting our early career teachers. Via the Mathematics Education Graduate Placement Program we aim to attract quality Mathematics Teachers to the Diocese, and through the Graduate Formation Program we strive to support all early career teacher to achieve a successful transition into the school community, to build individual's confidence and competence, and develop a strong network of collegiality and connection.

Applications OPEN
Open to undergraduates in their 3rd or 4th year of study, or graduates who have recently completed Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or Master of Teaching (Secondary) with Mathematics as a teaching area. This program employs graduate teachers in a participating College for 3 years plus reimbursement of their final year study fees and the opportunity for internship or relocation reimbursement.

Graduate Formation Program
The Formation Program is designed for conditional and provisional teachers and supports their transition into teaching and growth as professionals. The program ensures that graduates are welcomed to Catholic Education in the Diocese of Lismore, and supports them in their development as they grow as teachers in Catholic schools.
The two-year program includes professional learning opportunities; retreats and formation offered by the School Evangelisation and Catechetical team; support with in school mentoring; and external support with a Catholic Schools Office Cluster Mentor allocated to each graduate as they journey towards proficiency.
