LISMORE DIOCESE - All Teachers (Permanent and Casual) It is preferable that you are registered with the Catholic Schools Office Lismore, by completing a Teachers Application for Employment, prior to seeking employment within the Lismore Diocese. This is required if you are looking for work as a teacher in the Lismore Diocese either as full time or casual. Non registration however does not preclude you from applying for advertised positions - however this application is required for registration and payroll purposes should you gain employment with the CSO. Teachers from other states please visit the NSW Institute of Teachers Website regarding teaching in NSW. www.nswteachers.nsw.edu.au Current Advertised Employment Opportunities Teachers in the Lismore diocese are employed by the Principals and Parish Priests. We assist them by the above registration process. Therefore it is important that you make yourself known to the principals, send a resume, let them know you have registered with us and that you are interested in a position at their school and would appreciate an interview. The NEW Working with Children Check commencement date is June 15 2013 which relates to the new legislative requirements under the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012. In line with the new check beginning June 15, please only submit an application before that date if you have been offered work within the Diocese and start before June 15. If you start after June 15 you will need to comply with the new changes.
