- offers advice and support on curriculum implementation in schools
- provides Professional Development for all school staff
- ensures that educational accountability is monitored and sustained
- promotes and encourages Quality Teaching innovation in current pedagogy
- provides an appropriate response to the enrolment of students with special needs
- provides pastoral care and mentoring of staff and students
- facilitates and supports the Registration and Accreditation of Diocesan schools
- applies and monitors the appraisal process of School Executives
- supports schools in implementation and evaluation of government funded programs eg Indigenous Education, Literacy and Numeracy
