Ready to Teach program 

Information for 4th Year students

In 2019 the Catholic Schools Office, Diocese of Lismore, will offer selected 4th year students the opportunity to participate in a mentor based program designed to provide the best possible preparation immediately prior to teaching.

Selected students will engage with the class and the class teacher in an intense three week period of team teaching specifically designed to prepare the student teacher for imminent employment in the workforce. This is not an internship arrangement where the student teaches alone for most of the period. Student and teacher are together, working closely, with the student learning on the job and completing tasks as directed.
